Not so. It operates with a gentle fingertip grip which takes a few minutes to get used to but once I did it is like I have been using it forever.
Very pleased with it. What I like the most is if I have the mouse right next to the netbook, I only unreel a couple inches of cord instead of having to have a long cord getting in the way.
It retracts and saves room in the Targus bag that I carry everything in. I bought this because I didn't want a wireless mouse that I couldn't use on an airplane.
I bought this to go with my Acer Aspire Netbook and was a little afraid it was going to be too small for my big fingers. It works great and has a nice feel.
I can unroll more if I need it, but only pull out what I need.
No need to worry about replacing batteries (constantly) or making sure your mouse is charged and yet, no horrible long cord to get tangled everywhere.Actual Use:***It's a very simple "plug 'n' play" set up. I don't fault the mouse too much for it because I knew that when I first bought it. The cord feature is surprisingly simple and yet genius all at the same time. Good for anyone who needs something they can more easily browse the internet or work on projects while on the go.Not recommended for those with any sort of hand/wrist aches.
My fingers already have a tendency to ache (particularly when it's cold) and this mouse does them no favors. Performance:***It serves it's purpose. Conclusion:***It is what it is. I'm assuming this is due to it's size because I generally run into trouble if I haven't been using it a whole lot. It's very small and portable and even comes with it's own carrying case that you can shove into your purse (or whatever). It's a tiny mouse and it works. It requires more of a focused "hard click" then I'm used to on my desktop's mouse.Portability:*****It's tiny and almost weightless. The USB plug fits nicely where it's supposed to without being too snug or too loose. The problem is with the size of the mouse.
A tiny, portable, light weight, working mouse. This is a small mouse, ideal for laptops and netbooks. My only complaint is that clicking tends to be hard sometimes. With the portability comes the sacrifice of a comfortable size.
I couldn't find it in the stores. I had a Kensington 72114 for years until my niece saw it and took it with her. I fell in love with the size of it, but, unfortunately, I only read the review about the fragility of the piece after I bought it. I am going right now buy me another Kensington or two. I bought this mouse and it's giving pain on my wrist. It's too hard to click and it has a slow response. It's still working.
But, when retracting, hold by the cord, not the plug and mouse. I bought this for travel, but find it great all the time. It will last much longer
This dual-mode mouse / trackball is a piece of junk. Don't waste your money. Following the instructions, the device does not properly switch to trackball mode.
